It's a fact.

Becoming an "rv" family has now reached record levels. According to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) nearly 1 in 12 US vehicle owning households own an RV. That's a staggering 8 million households, in America alone!

When I worked at a RV dealership, every spring our service department was booked with appointments for generators that either wouldn't start, or if they did start they had that all too familiar surging sound. This was a result of letting the generator sit for periods of time without starting and exercising it. Lack of use is one of the biggest problems with generators. In gasoline generators the fuel breaks down and gums up causing hard starting and surging problems. This can happen in as short a period of time as one month.

Imagine being able to enjoy the scenery at a different beach each day from the comfort of your own lounge room. Well you can if you vacation in an RV.

The reason sales of recreational vehicles have been on the up lately, is that more and more people are discovering the unique blend of freedom and comfort that a vacation in an RV can provide.

Everyone should have a basic understanding of weight terms. Do your research to avoid becoming a statistic in relationship to overloaded RVs.

Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR):
The maximum permissible weight of the vehicle when fully loaded for travel including the vehicle, cargo, liquids & fuel, passengers, and any towed vehicle tongue weight. Motor homes, tow vehicles, and trailers all have GVWR.

Archery Hunting and Camping Family Style

Why not take the whole family for an archery hunting camping adventure? Some of our best family outings were in the month of October, during deer hunting trips just north about 150 miles to one of our favorite hunting and camping spots. My mom and dad took my sister and me, starting at a very early age. Even as I grew older and got married and had children of my own, we still kept the tradition of taking a long weekend up north to the same spot out in the wilderness with our kids and mom and dad. Sandra (my wife) would get the kids homework the day before we would leave so that would not be neglected. We would grab up our camping gear and the dogs and set out as a family on a very much needed, stress free, long weekend trip. When our kids were very small, grandma and grandpa would totally enjoy taking the two boys on walks and hikes through mother natures many learning adventures. This would also give us, as parents a time to relax and enjoy the things that we liked to do so much. My wife, who was a working mother, would read or go for walks with the rest of them and I would be able to hunt and enjoy the outdoors.
